3.2 Manual Firmware Upgrade

Note: Manual Firmware Upgrade is required only if the General Firmware Upgrade doesn't work.

Procedure for manually upgrading the JTAGICE XPII Firmware:

Disconnect the JTAGICE XPII from the power or just turn off the power switch
Short the hole 3 and hole 9 (as shown in the figure below)
Provide hole 4 (VCC) and hole 10 (GND) a level of 3V-5.5V
Connect the JTAGICE XPII to the host PC through USB or RS-232 cable
Power the JTAGICE XPII and wait for 3 seconds
Start General Firmware Upgrade
