Working with Raspberry Pi

Software setting

Please download the latest version of the image from the Raspberry Pi official website.

1. Download the compressed file to the PC, and extract the img file.
2. Connect the TF card to the PC and use SDFormatter to format the TF card.
3. Open the Win32DiskImager software, select the system image prepared in step 1, and click write to burn the system image.
4. After the programming is completed, open the config.txt file in the root directory of the TF card, add the following code at the end of config.txt, and save it.

  2. Connect the main control board to the HDMI interface of Raspberry Pi with an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect the Micro USB interface of the main control board to any USB interface of the Raspberry Pi with a type A to micro USB cable.
  4. Connect a 12V 1A power adapter to the main control board.
  5. Insert the TF card described above into the Raspberry Pi, and connect the Raspberry Pi to a 5V 2.5A power adapter (In case you want to use some big power devices, such as a camera, it is recommended to use a 5V 3A power adapter for the Raspberry Pi).

  1. First power on the main control board, Normally, you can see that the upper left corner of the LCD will display the signal source of the main control board at this time. Here you need to select HDMI.
    • If the displayed signal source is VGA or AV, you need to press the Source button to select the signal source.
    • If the LCD doesn't show anything, please check the hardware connection, especially if the FFC wire is connecting well.
  2. Power on the Raspberry Pi, and wait a few seconds, you can see the LCD display normally.
  3. If it is found that the touch function is abnormal, run the following commands, and the touch function can be used normally after restarting.

Hardware connection

  1. Connect the main control board and the 10.1inch Capacitive Touch LCD with a 40pin co-directional FFC cable (the metal side of the FFC cable is connected to the RGB interface facing down, the hardware supports the LVDS interface, but the LVDS firmware is not provided yet).
  2. Connect the main control board and the HDMI port of the PC with an HDMI cable.
  3. Use a type A to micro USB cable to connect the Micro USB port of the main control board to any one of the USB ports of the PC.
  4. Connect the main control board to a 12V 1A power adapter.

Using steps

  1. Power on the main control board first. You can see that the upper left corner of the LCD will display the signal source of the main control board at this time. Here you need to select HDMI.
